Welcome to Jack C. Jordan Middle School. My name is Shannon Zavala, and I am the Associate Principal at Jordan.
I am a proud Texas A&M Aggie with a degree in Biomedical Science, but my love of students and teaching led me to get a Masters in Education Leadership so that I can lead teachers who love to teach kids as much as I do. My entire educational career has been at the middle school level, and I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science, math, and ELA. I coached for five years, and I was a Gifted and Talented Specialist. I believe that all kids have the ability to learn and grow each and every day. I strive to create a positive experience of high quality learning for our Jaguars by building partnerships with our families and community so that they have a strong start to their teen and young adult lives.
Welcome to Jack C. Jordan Middle School. My name is Jessica Marcha, and I am happy to serve you and your student as the Academic Dean at Jordan Middle School.
My background:
Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Mathematics
Master of Arts in Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
Taught mathematics at Somerset Junior High in Somerset, Texas.
Taught mathematics at Northside Alternative Middle School-North.
Taught mathematics and served as the Math Department Coordinator at Hobby MS.
Students are my first priority. I believe that with the right support in place for both our students and teachers everyone will see success. I value your partnership in your student’s education.
Greetings! My name is Darcia Borel.
My education includes an undergraduate degree in Child Life from
the University of Alabama, a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education, and a Specialist
degree in Educational Leadership, both from Nova Southeastern University.
I began my career in K-12 education as a kindergarten teacher. From there, I had the good
fortune to serve as a teacher leader, district leader and administration at both the elementary and
middle school levels.
My leadership philosophy is based on a shared vision for achievement, allowing all stakeholders to
contribute their time, strengths, and talents toward the success of the school, while assisting in
establishing a family-based culture.
I wholeheartedly believe that all students deserve a safe and nurturing environment that will allow them
to grow personally and academically.
