Hello Carlos Coon Family! It is a privilege and honor to serve as your Associate Principal. I am a native of San Antonio and a proud product of NISD! I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. I married my high school sweetheart and we have an amazing son together. For the past 18 years I have been an educator in NISD, with 15 of those years as a 5th grade Bilingual teacher and the rest as a Math Specialist.
It is my goal to create an environment where all students feel supported and valued. I believe that every student should be given the opportunity to acquire the life-long knowledge and skills needed, in order to make great contributions to their community and wherever life takes them. I am positive that our koalas will be successful! Si, Se Puede! Thank you for entrusting us with your child. If you have any questions or need any assistance please do not hesitate to contact me. I am here to serve you!
