The Northside ISD Board of Trustees is seeking nominations for a name for an elementary school scheduled to open in 2024.
The nominations are encouraged to be submitted by Aug. 31. The yet-to-be named school is currently known as its working name: “Village at WestPointe West area” Elementary School.
The school, which is funded out of School Bond 2022, will be located in far west Bexar County outside Loop 1604, near Wiseman and Talley roads in the Riverstone at WestPointe subdivision. The school will likely relieve overcrowding at Cole Elementary School.
According to Board policy, elementary schools can be named after the area or subdivision in which they are located or after individuals who have made significant contributions to the educational program of the District or the community.

School name nominations submitted to the Board of Trustees will remain on file for one year from the date of receipt.
